The following video from a TED @ State talk is a must for everyone to watch. Whilst the major subject is Twitter, Clay Shirky describes the transition from old to new media.

He describes the change from One-To-Many media relationships to One-To-One media relationships. Shirky describes, extremely well, what a One To One relationship is, how they work, and how they are changing the media.

Even if you already know most of this, it is very beneficial to hear it from someone else's mouth as you may discover something you didn't know. At the very least, understanding the concepts of the media you are using, enables you to think outside the box to take advantage of that.

I'll be writing a follow up to this post explaining the One-To-One relationship in more detail, but for now sit back an enjoy a thoroughly inspiring talk. The first half is the main part I wish to show you, however the second half is very interesting and worth knowing.
